Kalea McNeill is an actor/standup comedian from the Bay Area. She was named a JFL New Face in 2022, has appeared on Don't Tell Comedy, Comedy Central, Netflix is a Joke Festival, the LMAOF Comedy Series, and has headlined around the country in addition to opening for Punkie Johnson, Jessimae Peluso, Gina Yashere, George Wallace. Her Grammy-considered debut comedy special, Sma'am, is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. 
As an actor, she is most known for her recurring character "Hanifa Downey" on CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but has also been seen on The Prank Panel on ABC, S.W.A.T. on CBS, Baskets on FX, Criminal Minds on Paramount +, and Animal Kingdom on TNT and a major role in the current Geico football commercial.

Stand up comedian Daniel Van Kirk is coming to Portland!
You may have heard him as a voice on Bob’s Burgers, or know him from the shows Physical, and The Morning Show on Apple TV+, or maybe his hit podcasts, Dumb People Town and Pen Pals! Daniel Van Kirk's first comedy album “Thanks Diane” debuted at  #1 on Apple Music and in 2024 he released his first comedy special, “Rose Gold”, which has over 100k views on YouTube. He has been named a “Comic To Watch” by Comedy Central and you may have seen him as the lead in the feature film, Wine Club (Prime). Daniel has performed and headlined at the top festivals in North America, including The Moontower Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs, JFL 42, and JFL Montreal.

LIZ BLANC

 Liz Blanc is a Los Angeles-based comedian known for relatable takes on her awkward experiences teaching high school, dating, and beyond. She has worked with many nationally touring headliners, including Sasheer Zamata, Taylor Tomlinson, and Joe List. Liz has also been featured in numerous comedy festivals and was named a 2023 Just for Laughs New Face of Comedy. Clips from her December 2022 Don’t Tell Comedy set have amassed millions of views across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Liz can be heard on SiriusXM and her podcast, A Comedian and a Scholar.

An evening of the most political standup comedy

 
San Francisco-based Nato Green is the country's only semifunctional hybrid of standup comedian and union organizer. He will be bringing his new hour of political comedy to The Siren Theater!
 
Nato starred along with W. Kamau Bell and Janine Brito in the streaming series Laughter Against the Machine on Means.tv, the first worker-owned post-capitalist streaming platform. He also appears regularly doing political comedy chat on the podcasts The Bugle and The Bitchuation Room. Nato Green released his second comedy album The Whiteness Album on Blonde Medicine Records, and appeared in the film Sorry to Bother You. The Whiteness Album was named by the NPR show Bullseye with Jesse Thorn one of the best comedy albums of 2018.  Nato wrote for Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FX, the show that the New York Times called “five years ahead of its time." His standup clips on instagram have gotten millions of views. 

Nato’s writing has appeared in the LA Review of Books, the San Francisco Examiner, In These Times, VICE, Truthdig, Huffington Post, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Rumpus, and The Bold Italic. Nato has been named San Francisco’s Best Comedian by the SF Bay Guardian, SF Weekly, Huffington Post, SFist, and CBS. His comedy has been featured in Audible Comedy Originals including the Comedy Show Show, the Guest List, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, and Sounds Like America. 

 
He's also a union organizer and negotiator. One time the Episcopal Archbishop called him the antichrist.

Join StraightioLab co-hosts and intellectual gay guys George Civeris and Sam Taggart as they return to the only true art form left: standup comedy. Yes, they're co-headlining a night of comedy that is sure to include astute observations, biting commentary, and perhaps even mild self-reflection (on your part - not theirs).

George Civeris is a standup comedian and writer based in New York. According to the American media apparatus, he is "known for his monster wit and broad palate" (Nylon) while his comedy "collapses the divide between high art and low" (Vulture). He was named one of the New Faces of Comedy by the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and most recently one of Vulture's "Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2024." He has written for projects on Comedy Central, FOX, and the BBC, and recently spent two years as a senior editor at the reboot of Gawker. He co-hosts two iHeart podcasts: StraightioLab, which was named the #1 comedy podcast of 2022 by New York Magazine, and The United States of Kennedy, an upcoming pop-culture history show about our enduring obsession with the Kennedy family.

Sam Taggart is currently based in LA. Originally a Brooklyn-based queer comedian, actor and writer, Sam is currently writing on After Midnight for CBS.  Most recently, Sam was a writer on the critically acclaimed Showtime/A24 series ZIWE is co-host of the Big Money Players podcasts StraightioLab. He can be seen in the upcoming series FANTASMAS opposite Julio Torres, Los Espookys, Search Party, ZIWE, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. He voiced and created an original animated feature MILLENNIAL HUNTER. Sam was selected as a member of the Comedy Central Digital Creators Program in 2020, he performed at Comedy Central's Clusterfest as part of their UpNext showcase, and was named one of Vulture’s Comics You Should and Will Know in 2021.

Welcome to the filming and recording of the new hour of standup by Jackie Kashian (HBO, Late Shows, After Midnight). The first hour was called Stay-Kashian, released right after Covid lockdown. You probably get why it was called that. This one is called Alter-Kashian because she lives in the United States.

The Siren is all ages but not all show content is. Please use your own discretion when bringing a younger audience member. Most shows are  appropriate for those 18+.

Please refrain from taking pictures or video during performances, unless you have been asked to do so.  It's distracting to the performers and we just want to be in the moment with you!

The Siren is a NO HECKLING ZONE. Please don't talk to any performer unless they address you first.  Thanks!

Advanced online ticketing ends 1-2 hours before start of show, then tickets are sold at the box office beginning when doors open for shows that are not sold out online. Advanced tickets are typically cheaper than tickets purchased at the door.

Shows that are labeled "Visiting Productions"  are not produced by The Siren Theater. These shows are from outside performers and producers who rent The Siren for their production. They have full control over ticketing, show content and production value. Questions about their shows should be directed to them. 

Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable.
